I can also hear the baby kicking while listening through the doppler...but it seems everytime I try to record it, it stops. Hard-headed kid. ;) ( I have been trying to post the recording repeatedly but it wont upload....hope to have it up soon.)
We find out the gender 2 weeks from tomorrow! =D It seems like this is going by so quickly!
Also, I am feeling some movement now and I am loving it. It makes me want to sit down/lay down and do nothing all day just to feel it more often.
I will also try to get a 4 month picture up soon. Our camera has officially died.:( Hopefully we will get one soon.
At 17 weeks, according to babycenter:
Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom (about the size of your palm). She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.

not to discourage you, but it stops because babies HATE absolutely HATE the waves those things give off. Most babies move away from the ultrasound and dopplers because of it. It's not necessarily harmful, but they don't like it.
